Coaching
The club has three England Squash Level 2 coaches that members can utilise in group sessions every Tuesday, with other sessions planned throughout the year to suit beginner, intermediate and advanced players.

Club Sessions
Membership includes 4 hours of squash each week. You mark your name on the board and play against another member in a “first to 15” game. Once the game is over, you come off and mark your name again. This is a great opportunity to experience playing against different styles as well as meet new members, and thanks to the glass-back courts, you can watch all the games whilst you wait.
Tuesdays
Three courts are available for play every Tuesday between 18:00-20:00.
Fridays
Three courts are available for play every Friday between 18:00-20:00, often followed by a social at the local pub!

Leagues
Commonly known as Box Leagues, the leagues are essentially a round robin, split up into divisions. Members compete against other members in the same division and have eight weeks to play matches against one another. At the end of each series, players move up, down or remain unchanged based on their results.

Tournaments
The club organises two tournaments each year, both with trophies and prizes for the winners and runner-ups. During Spring the Handicap Tournament is held, where players start on different points dependent upon their squash ability. In late Autumn, the highest ranked players battle for the Championship trophy whilst the lower ranked can compete for the Plate trophy.

Team Squash
Consett Squash Club has three teams that compete in the Northumbria Squash Leagues. Teams of five players compete against other clubs, home and away, in a best of five format with points awarded for games won and additional points awarded to the overall winning team. Team Squash is open to everyone, and our third team’s main purpose is to aid the development of members who are unfamiliar with competitive squash.
Compete
All matches are played in a competitive but friendly spirit, with the home team's players refereeing each match.
Socialise
All teams are required to provide food after the matches have been played, be it at their own club or a local establishment.

Club Shirt
All of our members have access to our club shop from 305squash, the UK’s squash‑only clothing brand, which offers t‑shirts, shorts, hoodies, skorts and vests. If you play team squash, you will receive a team t‑shirt.
Squash Tour
Each year the club organises a visit to another Squash Club in the country; most recently we visited clubs in Edinburgh and Harrogate. A typical schedule sees us playing against the hosts on a Friday evening followed by refreshments at their club. Saturday afternoon is another bout of Squash ahead of a pre-booked meal at a restaurant in the area, swiftly followed by a night on the tiles. Unique to Consett Squash Club, the tour is the culmination of everything we represent - playing squash and having a great time.
